Sant Pere Claver Foundation is a non-profit, socially-oriented private institution that receives public funding. It was created in 1948.
The institution has a long history and tradition in Poble Sec and Sants, two neighbourhoods of Barcelona city. The Foundation provides publicly covered health care in Mental Health, complementary examinations and the speciality of Allergology. The FHSPC also has a Ophthalmology Centre (Eye Clinic) and a Dental Clinic with the full range of odontological specialties.
Recently, the Foundation has broadened the social services it offers, prioritising services and programs that fulfil the social needs of marginalised groups, such as the Social Club for people with mental diseases, the Volunteer Service and the Network of Integration Homes in the Sants Montjuïc district.
