How can I become a volunteer in your service?
People interested in collaborating in the volunteer service can call Marta Mascarell, head of the service, to arrange an interview with her, or contact her by email: voluntaris@fhspereclaver.org .
Can I be a volunteer even though I don’t have a specialty?
Yes. The task assigned to each volunteer takes into account the interests, availability and abilities of each volunteer.
Can I receive training? Will I have support?
The volunteers receive general training and specific training in relation to the task they carry out. They have the permanent support of the professionals who attend the case and those in charge of the volunteer service.
Will I be insured?
All volunteers that decide to form a part of the Volunteer Service sign a contract in which the time predicted for their collaboration is specified and which implies insurance from the very first moment. The volunteers do not pay an insurance fee. The obligation is to fulfil the commitment that the volunteer decides on during the established time and respect the volunteer rights and tasks.
· Support Service for Independence at Home
Who can request this service?
All people over 18 years old with problems due to a mental disorder who need help and support to remain independent in their everyday life (organisation and order in the home, assistance at medical visits, improve the situation of isolation and loneliness, accompaniment in the community, etc.)
How is this service requested?
The interested person can request the service at ICASS offices (c/Tarragona, 141-147. Tel. 935675169), at the webpage of the Department of Social and Citizen Action (www.gencat/icass...), or by asking their social worker.
Social Club
What does the Social Club consist in?
This is a leisure service for people over 18 years linked with the local Mental Health Centre. It is aimed at people who are interested in participating in leisure activities in the company of other people and/or improving their social relations and participation in the community in which they live.
How can I become a member?
If you are interested in becoming a social club member you can telephone 934317162 between 18:00h and 20:00h to talk with Amaya Gambra for more information, or ask a social worker of your Mental Health Centre. Members pay a monthly membership fee and can participate in the activities that interest them.
Can I go even though I live in another neighbourhood?
Yes, the clubs are not particular to a certain area and whoever is interested in an activity can become a member.
Can I go even if I belong to another social club?
Yes, the different clubs offer different activities and members can participate in the activities that interest them most. Can I attend even if I am not linked with the CSMA Health Centre?
No.
· Housing with support
What is housing with support?
It is a flat in which various people live that receive weekly support from an educator.
How can I access this program?
The places in the flats with support are subsidised within the housing assistance programs of the Catalan Health Institute and Social Services(ICASS) for people with social problems due to mental illnesses.
What does it mean that places are subsidised?
All of the places are paid in part by theAutonomous Government of Catalonia and in part by the user in function of their income.
Where can I request a place in housing with support?
You can apply at theICASS offices (c/Tarragona, 141-147. Tel. 935675169), at the webpage of the Department of Social and Citizen Action (www.gencat/icass...) or by asking your social worker in the Social Health Services.
· Without Shoes Program
What is it?
The Without Shoes Program consists in collecting new shoes from manufacturing companies and distributing them to entities that attend people in situations of social exclusion and homeless people. Used shoes are not accepted.
Can I become part of the program?
If you would like to donate shoes or belong to an entity which would like to receive shoes, you can contact the program at the email address: voluntaris@fhspereclaver.org
Can I collaborate as a volunteer?
You can participate as a volunteer by promoting contacts with the shoe companies, managing the shoe requests and receiving the donations and or organising the storage and distribution. If you are interested you can contact the same email address: voluntaris@fhspereclaver.org.
How can I be sure that the shoes won’t be sold?
The receiving entities sign a contract that states that they will deliver the shoes to people in need without any kind of payment.
How can I be sure the shoes will arrive to the people who really need them?
The receiving entities that participate in the program fill out a questionnaire and provide information that guarantees that the entities are non-profit.
· Support and Follow-up Service for ex-protected minors
Who can be a part of this support program?
Young people under 21 from all over Catalonia who have been under protection by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia for at least three years can receive economic assistance while they study or work and improve their personal situation and independence. The young people have to participate in a personal plan that allows the to improve their situation.
What does it consist in?
It is economic assistance for improving the young person’s possibilities of studying or combining work with study.
What is it compatible with?
It is not compatible with anindependence loan or with an income over 540 euros when the request is made. It is not applicable if the young person is living with their mother or father.
