Health Care Activity

The increasing demand for Allergology has made it necessary to open a new space that consolidates all of the current and future actions of the service, with new research and training tools. Since 2008 the new Allergy Institute has been located at the Foundation, and covers the need for Allergology within the public health sector, including all the necessary aspects: health care, training and research into the speciality. The aim is to expand the centre to meet state and international demands.

Health Care Programs
Skin Tests: prick-test, prick-prick, intradermal injections, skin tests with standard and specific allergy sets.

Respiratory function test: forced spirometry test, bronchodilator test, breath test (measurements of the fraction of exhaled nitric oxide), acoustic rhinometry, rhinomanometry.

Provocation Testing: conjuntival, nasal, oral, parenteral.

Immunotherapy Unit: standard and clusterimmunotherapy.

Insect Sting Allergy Unit: (effective from 2008).

In Vitro Tests: analytical tests.
