Allergy Service

The Allergy Service was created 25 years ago, and offers health care characterised by personalised attention and warm and friendly treatment based on the set of values that has characterised the non-profit organisation Sant Pere Claver Hospital Foundation for over 60 years.

Nowadays, the service is the largest provider for CatHealth for this speciality. Its consolidation as a pioneering institute in Catalonia has bridged the large gaps in the area of Allergology. It promotes research and training with more than 5000 studies per year, as well as courses, talks and practical workshops, mainly for primary health care teams.

As a leader in the public health sector, Sant Pere Claver Sanitary Foundation, together with the Health Centre (EBA) of the Right Eixample district, now manages the first Allergy Unit in the country with primary health assistance. This year the service has received the ISO quality accreditation, which is an exceptional event within the allergy specialty.

Our service is based on offering our patients good service to improve their quality of life. More than 20 professionals work in this institute, including doctors, nurses and Allergology specialists and experts, to care for more than 10 000 patients each year.

The Allergy Service currently manages:

  • The Diagnostic Medication Allergy Unit, located at the Hospital Dos de Maig of Barcelona, leader in the study of possible allergic reactions to medicines

  • The first Allergy Unit in Barcelona city located in a Health Centre (co-managers with the Health Centre (EAP) of the Right Eixample district).

  • The Asil de Granollers Hospital Foundation, recently created to relieve the long waiting lists for allergy related illnesses.

• Sant Pere Claver Hospital Foundation: from Monday to Friday from 9:00h to 14:00h; afternoons from Monday to Thursday from 15:00h to 20:00h.
We have a telephone service, 93 324 88 92, operating from Monday to Friday, from 12:30h to 13:30h.
• Diagnostic Medication Allergy Unit: afternoons from Monday to Friday, from 15:30h to 19:30h.
• Health Centre (EAP) of the Right Eixample district: Wednesday and Thursday in the morning, from 9:30h to 14h.
• The Asil Granollers Hospital Foundation: afternoons from Monday to Friday, from 15:30h to 19:30h
