Mental Health Centres
Health Care Functions and Aims
As part of public health care, the mental health centres for adults, children and young people of the FHSPC Mental Health Service provide specialised attention that supports the basic health areas in the district of Sants-Montjuïc.
Health Care Programs
Both the CSMA in Montjuïc and the centre in Sants are currently promoting two new programs prioritised in the Management Plans: support for primary health care, and a pioneering project for detecting and attending incipient psychosis in order to carry out timely and intensive psychotherapeutic attention for patients who show the initial psychotic symptoms. In 2006 the CSMIJ began two new programs: the program for serious mental illnesses and a new pilot project for supporting all the ABS of the district, in particular their paediatricians and nurses.
