Functions and health care aims
The Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Units are centres that cover all Catalonia, and which offer health care specialised in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Health Care Programs
In 2006, the UPPA[began a new psychotherapeutic program for the families involved in the Barcelona Council’s Assistance Units for Children and Adolescents.

The UPPIJ also provides support to the Schooling combined with Psychopedagogic Assistance Units (UECAP) of the ACIS Foundation in agreement with the Education Department.
